The Tourism Authority of Thailand has started by identifying what tourists look for in their Thai experience. Recently, the TAT initiated a new campaign called ‘Open to new shades of Thailand’. With this those involved have investigated the upcoming trends in Thailand.

The figures show that places like Chiang Rai have experienced a growth of more than 80%, this is said to be because Asian travellers have an interest in getting to know the country’s culture while the European visitors prefer the historic ruins. It is seen that travel packages that are by the beach have been steadily increasing in Pattaya and other places too. What’s more, the local cuisine seems to be the highlight in places like Bangkok.
