One of the main private airlines in Thailand, Lion Air, increased the number of flights from Jakarta to Bangkok. Now the airline offers 2 flights to Bangkok on Mondays. The SL116 flight will be taking off from Don Mueang International Airport at 9 am local time and arrive in Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 12.30 pm. The return flight takes off at 1.10 pm and lands in Bangkok at 5 pm.
The CEO/Chairman of Thai Lion Air, Cpt. Darsito Hendro Seputro stated that the increase in the number of flights is a result of the high demand for transportation. The company started up in 2013 and has rapidly grown since then. Thai Lion Air now has 12 domestic networks, 2 regional flights, and over 20 international flights. The Airline hopes to come up with additional routes to connect Jakarta to other cities like Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Chiang Rai. Hotels in these regions like Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort will benefit from tourists taking these flights.
