The Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, famously known as one of the largest and most popular airports and transit hubs in the world, has recently inaugurated a third terminal for business. The upgrade has increased the passenger capacity from 45 million to 60 million – putting it in a great position to receive the large influx of tourist arrivals over the high season which began in October.
Brands and businesses that manage a family hotel in Phuket, such as the affordable and popular Travelodge Phuket Town, can reasonably expect higher influxes of tourists due to the increased capacity, thereby increasing profits, thanks to a level of tourism that is now able to be managed compared to previous years – where it wasn’t as stable due to the tourism traffic arriving in bulk numbers. The terminal itself was stated to have a project value of $960 million, an ambitious project by the Thai government.
