The Thao Thep or Thao Thepkasattri-Thao Sri Suntorn Festival is one of the biggest festivals which highlight many sporting and cultural activities. This year, the festival is held in the north of Phuket town in March and will last up to two weeks. The festival features a Buddhist ceremony, takraw tournament, mini-marathon, bicycle race as well as tug o’ war. The event takes place in different locations in the north of Phuket including Wat Pranangsang and Heroines’ Monument.
