This event is one of the most prestigious sailing events set against the beautiful backdrops of Langkawi. It was held from the 20th to the 25th of January, and tourists flooded Langkawi to witness and take part in the 21st Royal Langkawi Regatta. The Andaman Sea was transformed into a stage for these awesome yachts.
The event took place at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club just a 30-minute drive away from resorts in Kedah the likes of Temple Tree Resort. The event featured 32 yachts from Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK, Denmark, Australia and Malaysia. Over 250 participants put their skills on display at this competition by navigating under different categories for a dynamic challenge for sailors. The event boosted Malaysia’s image as a hotspot for sports tourism and a premium sailing destination.
