In 2024, from January to November, revenue reached US$2.8 billion, up from US$1.8 billion during the same period in 2023. The number of tourist arrivals also increased to 1.8 million in 2024 compared to the first eleven months of 2023, which totalled 1.3 million in the same time frame. Key source markets include Russia, Germany, the UK, India, and China. Tourists also have the option of using special offers at a luxury hotel in Nuwara Eliya the likes of Araliya Green Hills and other hotels across the island.
