The aggressive campaign between Russia and Ukraine – Sri Lanka tourism board initiates social media campaign

Despite the pandemic lockdown and different levels of travel restrictions, Sri Lanka Tourism has continued to engage in numerous media and travel influencer-related initiatives to “Keep the Sri Lankan Holiday Dream Alive.” One such campaign was conducted focusing on a quick advertising boost among potential Russian and Ukrainian winter vacationers by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Board.

Due to the pandemic situation, there has been a major decline in travellers booking ahead and now prefer to make bookings and reservations at the last moment. Therefore, SLTB believes that quick last-moment advertising might keep vacation destinations and popular attractions in Sri Lanka such as experiences one might find at a spa in Kandy, surfing in Galle, and tea culture in Nuwara Eliya front of mind of the global tourists. In line with this Sri Lankan hotels too are upping their game, offering various discounts and rewards. There are many scenic and authentic Sri Lankan hotels open for guests now such as Amaya Hills Kandy.
