Following the success of its first edition in 2016, the Chauffer Guide Certification programme conducted by Walkers Tours is once again offering Sri Lankans a chance to join the thriving travel and tourism industry. The second intake is now open for applicants looking to become a certified chauffer guide who can ably assist the increasing number of tourists on Sri Lanka holidays. Conducted in partnership with well known training institute Vision, the Chauffer Guide Certification programme offers 50 hours of comprehensive training. Among the requirements that suitable candidates should possess are the ability to fluently speak English, the skills to get across information on Sri Lanka to tourists and be a “travelholic” by nature. The ability to speak foreign languages especially French, is a decided advantage. |
