For the first time since its inception, the Hotelier Awards was split into two separate competitions, with one focusing on Asia, and the other on Greater China. This year’s Hotelier Awards witnessed a 117% increase over last year in the number of entries.
Recently, from a total of sixteen categories, five finalists were announced for the Asian awards. The finalists for properties in Greater China have been scheduled to be announced sometime in July 2018. Among these finalists was Azizskandar Awang, the Executive Chef of Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort which managed to stand out among the many hotels in Chaweng Koh Samui. There were several more finalists from hotels in Thailand.
The finale of the event would be taking place on May 23rd, and is scheduled to be held at Sofitel Singapore City Centre.
