The year 2019 has been a spectacular year for the tourism industry of the Maldives as they could achieve the established target of hitting 1.5 million tourist arrivals to the country even before the estimated time period. The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) together with the Ministry of Tourism had even organized a celebration to welcome the 1.5 millionth tourist to the country, and this attracted the eyes of media from all over the world.
The recent developments to the industry of tourism and hospitality sector of the Maldives include the establishment of Maldives all-inclusive resorts in which tourists are guaranteed the best of luxury and comforts. Comments received so far from tourists from all over the world by resorts such as VARU by Atmosphere have been good and Maldivian tourism development authorities believe that with these establishments, surpassing targets set for 2020 will not be achallenge.
