The Maldives is Still Open to Indian Tourists – Resort Islands Offer Safe Stays

While some destinations may have added more restrictions for tourists from India due to the country’s surge in COVID-19 cases, the Maldives is still open for them. However, in line with an updated directive from the government, Indians arriving after 27th April 2021 were not permitted to stay at hotels or guesthouses on inhabited islands. That said, this rule does not apply to private island properties where you will find some of the best all-inclusive resorts in Maldives including those belonging to hospitality brands such as Adaaran Resorts.

This is good news for those planning holidays here as they can enjoy safe stays without having to quarantine. In fact, the Maldives has become one of the most popular destinations for Indians who made up the leading source market amongst arrivals in 2020 to the island nation; as of the beginning of May this year, they continue to be the top percentage when it comes to arrival numbers.
