The Maldives lifts all restrictions for visitors

Reopening a paradise to the world

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Maldives is now ready to open up its gates for tourists. This was the first time that the Maldives experienced zero tourist arrivals in its tourism history of 47 years, but the officials believe that things will adopt a smooth flow once the restrictions get lifted soon.

Everything, from the point a tourist comes to the Maldives up to the point he leaves the country, will have to follow strict health and safety measures governed by the government and the WHO. In terms of accommodation, all Maldives villas, resorts and hotels will also have to adhere to the guidelines set by them. Under these new-normal procedures, every resort the likes of Grand Park Kodhipparu is also expected to obtain a ‘Safe Tourism License’ moving forward.
