The Maldives Nominated at World Travel Awards 2019
Country Named in Six Categories
One of the most famous travel destinations in the world, the Maldives was named in six categories including the World’s Leading Destination 2019, at the recently concluded World Travel Awards. Other 2019 categories included the World’s Leading Island Destination, World’s Leading Dive Destination and the World’s Most Romantic Destination.
The nominations highlighted the fact, that the country is immensely popular with travellers as they look to enjoy the best of the Maldives; villas on island resorts the likes of Kuramathi Maldives and a wealth of experiences from water sports to dining are amongst the most sought after aspects of holidays in this south Asian nation. Earlier in the year, the country won several key awards in the Indian Ocean categories of the World Travel Awards such as the Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2019 and the Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination 2019.
