The Maldives Plans to Offer Vaccines to Tourists – Visit, Vaccinate, and Vacation

By the end of April 2021, over 20% of the total population of the Maldives had been given the COVID 19 vaccine. The Government has decided to finish this vaccination session for the locals soon in the future (covering all 530,000 citizens) and then move on to vaccinating the tourists.

The Maldives is open for international tourists now, and every Maldives overwater villa the likes of OZEN Life Maadhoo has begun their operations. The Government has planned to give the tourism sector a strong boost by launching the ‘3V Tourism’ plan where the international travellers will be allowed to holiday (vacation) in the Maldives after getting them vaccinated in the Maldives itself. Strategies are being discussed on how to launch this program successfully.
