Known for drawing prominent filmmakers from around the world, the Berlin International Film Festival provided an ideal platform this year for the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation to launch a destination promotion campaign. One of the industry’s leading film festivals, this year’s 75th Berlinale ran from 13th to 23rd February 2025, during which this campaign provided much for visitors, directors, film producers and high-profile celebs to take in. Highlights included two digital billboards that featured 30-second videos that showcased the best of this destination, including its unparalleled luxury and awe-inspiring natural beauty.
The country’s allure for those in search of a luxurious hideaway continues to be a popular selling point, which keeps drawing global travellers to the Maldives. Villas, be it by the beach or over a tranquil lagoon and private island properties like Bandos Maldives, remain firm favourites for those looking to get away from it all. With such destination promotion efforts, the country can no doubt expect more visitors in the months to come.
