The Maldives to host Indian Ocean Island Games in 2023

To be held in 2023, the Indian Ocean Island Games take place every 4 years. Island territories such as Seychelles, Madagascar, Mayotte, Mauritius, Reunion, and the Maldives. The year 2023 will be the first year the Maldives will be hosting the games, which has previously been hosted by Mauritius, the Reunion islands, Madagascar and Seychelles.

The Maldives is known for being a great holiday hub and the hosting of the games will likely increase the influx of tourists into the Islands, and with the likes of Amilla Fushi Maldives and many a Maldives luxury resort, the experience will be worthwhile.
