This is the very first time the Maldives will be hosting the ‘Indian Ocean Games’, and it was much anticipated. The Maldives became the frontrunner to host the next edition after the end of tenth edition of the games which took place in Mauritius – from July 19th to 28th 2019. The very first Indian Ocean Games was first held in 1979, bringing together to territories of Mauritius, Comoros, Madagascar, Mayotte, Reunion, and the Maldives.
When in the Maldives, things to do are aplenty, but beforehand you may have to book the accommodation that you want, such as Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives. Let’s hope for the best in 2023!
