The Maldives to offer tourists vaccine on arrival – 3V Tourism on the go!

The Maldives was among the first set of countries that decided to reopen the country to international travellers. The government, together with the tourism authorities made this decision in 2020, and the country has been enjoying good results so far. Every Maldives ocean villa with a pool the likes of those offered by properties such as Naladhu Private Island Maldives opened up operations as soon as the government announced the reopening.

Meanwhile, the government decided to launch its local vaccination program giving priority to those who are engaged in the tourism and travel industry. According to the latest reports, the government will soon finish the island-wide vaccination program and then move on to the ‘3V Tourism’ concept. Under this concept, travellers who come to the Maldives for holidays will be vaccinated first, and then taken into the country.
