The Mother of the Nation Festival 2019 – A Captivating Event in Abu Dhabi

A popular festival which offered plenty of entertainment for the whole family, the Mother of the Nation Festival (MOTN) 2019 was held this month in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. Launched on 12th March, MOTN ran up until 23rd March at the Abu Dhabi Corniche, 15 minutes away from Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara. Held in honour of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, who is considered the ‘Mother of the Nation’, MOTN completed its fourth edition this year. It was held during the same time that the Special Olympics World Games were taking place in Abu Dhabi and featured interactive workshops, musical performances and much entertainment. As part of the festival, the world-famous Cirque Du Soleil made its debut in the Middle East, with performances held on Yas Island.
