The Music of John Williams in Melbourne Next Month

Next month, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will be hosting two special concerts featuring the musical masterpieces of John Williams in celebration of his 90th birthday which was this year (8th February). They will take place on 1st and 2nd June 2022 at Hamer Hall at Arts Centre Melbourne, close to Oaks Melbourne Southbank Suites; for those planning to attend and looking for ideally located serviced apartments, Southbank makes a convenient base.

The concerts are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm, while they will be conducted by Nicholas Buc and feature the MSO Chorus as well. The Music of John Williams will showcase a range of some of the memorable scores of this composer that have become as iconic as the films that thrilled audiences around the world. These include the music for Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Superman and Schindler’s List to name a few that will transport those in attendance back to their favourite movie moments.
