In an update to its concert schedule for the year, The Chamber Music Society of Colombo (CMSC) announced a new concert date set for the 18th of October 2015 to be held at the Goethe-Institut in Colombo. The concert will feature two rarely performed pieces the Septet No. 2, Op.114 by Johann Nepomuk Hummel for Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Violin, Cello, Contrabass and Piano, and Camille Saint-Saëns’ septet Op. 65 for Trumpet, two Violins, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, and Piano. The Goethe-Institut is situated down Gregory’s Road which is centrally located and close to many apartments in Colombo like the soon to be completed One Galle Facewhich is just a 20 minute drive away.
