An event held to break the prevailing stigma on mental health, The Voices Festival was held this month in the Malaysian capital. The event took place on 16th November 2019 at The Exchange Hall, within easy reach for those who stayed at a service apartment in KL including properties such as Ascott Kuala Lumpur. The event was open to young and old alike and was a celebration that also helped to redefine mental health.
Amongst the highlights at The Voices Festival was a special SCHIZO Simulation that offered a multi-sensory experience of what it’s like for a schizophrenic patient be it regarding touch, taste, smell, hearing or sight. The festival also featured a suicide prevention workshop, access to creative counselling tools like sand art therapy, health & wellness booths and food trucks too.
