To travel to the Maldives, you now need a negative Covid-19 Test

Travel Safe During the Pandemic

Since September 2020, a rule has been established in the Maldives that visitors need to produce a negative COVID19 test before being allowed to enter the country. The Ministry of Tourism announced this over their social media platforms, stating that it was made mandatory and will be in effect until there is some form of vaccine or control of the spread of the virus all over the world.

Under the new rules, you can now visit more than one of the Maldives luxury resorts where before you were to be confined to the island that houses your resort the likes of Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences. Back in July, the Maldives were among the first countries to open to tourists after a global shutdown but doubled back due to burgeoning COVID19 cases.
