Tourism Industry to Revive in Thailand

Following a halt in tourism and the gradual opening of Thailand’s borders to travellers, many a hotel in Chanthaburi, along with hotels and resorts in other cities are welcoming tourist arrivals in numbers. With a beam of hope on the road to recovery, hotels like Chatrium Golf Resort Soi Dao Chanthaburi are now expecting tourist arrivals in numbers.

As reported in the Bangkok Post on the 13th of June 2022, the country was able to welcome a total of 1.4 million tourists from January to May 2022, as stated by the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Yuthasak Supasron. The peak season for tourist arrivals in Thailand from Russia is from October to February 2023, an essential market in the country’s tourism industry, and therefore, discussions have been carried out with aviation-related companies in Thailand and Russia on the allocation of charter flights.
