Tourism Malaysia Boosts Vietnam Promotions – Visa-free Entry for Indian & Chinese Nationals Also Offered

In September this year, Tourism Malaysia stepped up promotion efforts targeting Vietnamese travellers, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Both Malaysia and Vietnam have jointly agreed to make the golden jubilee celebration successful by organising several programmes that will help boost tourism. As part of these collaborative efforts, a B2B (Business to Business) session and networking dinner were held in Ho Chi Minh City; Malaysia also participated in the International Travel Expo 2023 from 7th to 9th September in this city as it looked to attract more visitors from Vietnam.

In a bid to draw additional tourists, the country introduced visa-free entry from 1st December 2023, for citizens of India and China, two important source markets for Malaysia. This was put in the spotlight on the Reuters news website which further revealed that visa exemptions were applicable for up to 30 days and would be offered till 31st December 2024. The country continues to be popular with travellers offering diverse destinations to experience such as Bukit Mertajam. Apartments to be found here at properties like Citadines Prai Penang make the ideal base to not only conduct business, but enjoy sightseeing, shopping, dining, and entertainment as well.
