The Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia recently declared in an interview that the country has plans to do some dramatic changes in 2022. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Indonesia’s economy collapsed greatly, and its travel and tourism industry was majorly challenged. Properties the likes of The Residence Bintan by Cenizaro are open to welcome all travellers, but the major percentage of travellers are still from Indonesia itself and other neighbouring countries.
At the interview, the minister has stated that these changes will happen in 03 different levels, namely the mega level, macro-level and micro. The government, at the mega level, will try to strengthen the tourism industry by improving the health and safety conditions of Bintan Island things to do and other experiences that travellers can enjoy in tourist-friendly destinations. The minister has further expressed about improving the digitalised processes in every industry to make things so much easier for tourists.
