Tourists Flock to Kimberley, but Latest COVID Outbreak Puts Businesses on Edge – After-effects of the disastrous pandemic

Australia has been following strict and long lockdown measures to eradicate the risks of the pandemic. Depending on the reported cases of COVID 19, the government decided to amend the travel restrictions, and some regions felt the adverse effects of this over the others. Broome is also one such state, and the tourist-friendly region here known as Kimberly has faced worse conditions with businesses beginning to shut down gradually.

Since domestic travel was allowed from time to time, properties that dealt in the travel and hospitality sector the likes of Oaks Broome Hotel managed to survive this hard time. But some other minor properties offering accommodation in Broome had to shut down due to severe losses. However, the business crowd here is still hopeful that things will change soon when the government decides to open its borders for international travellers.
