Tourists to Western Australia increased local spending – Increases in visitor spending compared to the pandemic

According to figures released by Tourism Research Australia, Western Australia has experienced a 24% increase in visitor spend, even in comparison to pre-pandemic numbers, for a record of $16.8 billion. The visitors from the UK, Singapore, and New Zealand account for about 50% of the total number, with the results making Western Australia the top-recovering state in the country.

This means that 5-star hotels in Perth such as the Pan Pacific Perth and its surrounding businesses have been the recipient of the expenditure – although not as a representative number of profits. It is more indicative of the level of recovery that Australia is due to receive after suffering through the pandemic like its fellow countries, and a sign of resurgence and growth for the country as a whole
