Organised by the Maldivian PR company titled Maldives Getaways, the Travel Trade Maldives Fair 2018 happened in April, at the Bandos Island Resort, one of the Maldives resorts the likes of Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas. The Hotelier Summit was the first event of the fair and was inaugurated by the Minister of Economic Development in the Maldives, Mohamed Saeed. He is known for modernizing the industry and is responsible for introducing new methods and concepts in the tourism industry and sector of the Maldives. The event was a huge success and garnered a huge gathering from the people of the tourism and travel field from all of Asia and more.
