Travelling to Abu Dhabi on a Tourist Visa – Here Is What You Need To Know

While the tourism industry was affected by the COVID pandemic, it has started picking things up in 2022 as many countries including Abu Dhabi now allow tourists to cross their borders and access hotels. If you wish to travel to the UAE on a tourist visa and stay in a resort in Abu Dhabi such as the luxury 5-star beach hotel Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Yamm Villa Resort, there are a couple of things you need to know. For both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers, you are required to submit your negative PCR test result within 48 hours before departure, and the negative result of a PCR test taken at the airport upon arrival. If you are fully vaccinated and tested negative, you are not required to quarantine. If, however, you are an unvaccinated visitor from a green list country, make sure to take PCR tests on days 6 and 9 — and note that you are not required to quarantine if your test result is negative. However, if you arrive from a non-green list country without being vaccinated, you are required to quarantine for ten days in your resort hotel, regardless of your test result.
