Travelling to the Maldives is Easier Now

More Entry Requirements Removed

Amongst the few nations that were able to bounce back relatively quickly following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Maldives has eased its entry requirements further making this popular destination even more attractive for tourists. While it was already offering quarantine-free holidays, key changes were made to its protocols that came into effect from 14th March 2022; travellers were no longer required to submit to any pre-flight and post-arrival tests no matter their vaccination status; additionally, for entry, proof of vaccination is not needed, while travel-related quarantine has been done away with as well.

Such moves came in the wake of the country’s effective vaccination programme and will no doubt draw more tourists looking to experience hassle-free holidays in the Maldives; luxury resorts on private islands continue to offer safe and enjoyable stays with the likes of Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences providing the ideal getaway for families and couples alike.
