In July this year, Traveloka, a leading all-in-one travel tech platform, and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the goal of promoting Singapore as a preferred destination. The co-branded campaigns will look to target five main source markets, namely Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand in Southeast Asia as well as Australia. These promotions will no doubt help to boost arrival numbers to the Lion City, including tourists in search of boutique hotels in Singapore. Located in culturally rich neighbourhoods like Joo Chiat, these properties, such as Venue Hotel, continue to be a popular choice amongst travellers looking to enjoy the best this country has to offer.
Incidentally, this is not the first time that such an MOU has been signed between Traveloka and the STB, which previously entered into similar agreements in 2019, 2022 and 2024. Under this new partnership, Singapore will be highlighted on Traveloka’s platform, while events to be held in this city-state and destination storytelling will be promoted as well. Additionally, aggregated, privacy-safe travel insights will also be shared to assist STB in marketing the country to specific source markets.
