Trip Advisor; the biggest travel website in the world signed as the Strategic Partner for the Maldives Travel Awards 2017. The agreement was signed by the President of MATATO, Abdulla Giyas and the Head of Destination Marketing APAC of Trip Advisor, Sarah Mathews at the Macao PATA Travel Mart on the 15th of September 2017. According to the said agreement data from TripAdvisor, ratings will be used to set the criteria for the MATATO awards. The president of MATATO provided that this agreement will support the just and fair execution of the awards and the appreciation of those who deserve it. All resorts based in the country such as Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort will be rated based on services, activities within the resort and around Maldives. Water sports and other recreation offered by hotels will also be taken into consideration.
