As per the latest news and statistics, it seems as if Thailand is facing a sharp decrease in Chinese visitors. Thailand’s economy is highly reliant on holidaymakers and with many a Chiang Mai family hotel the likes of Anantara Chiang Mai Serviced Suites available in the country, the market was flourishing.
However, as of late, the Chinese tourists arriving in Thailand has been tumbling, with a 12 percent slip in the month of August of 2019 – which is considered the biggest drop is over a year. Government officials in Thailand are ratted as visitors from China are the top source of foreign recipients in the industry. The trigger for the drop could possibly be the tour accident that occurred off Phuket in July that killed several Chinese holidaymakers.
