Tumpek Uduh – Celebrating Life

Tumpek Uduh marks a holy day dedicated to blessing plants, especially those that produce fruit and flowers. Households pay their respects to the god Hyang Widhi Wasa, asking for blessings upon their plantations and farms for successful harvests.

According to ancient Hindu scriptures, the Bhagavad Gita teaches humans about the balance of life. It explains that man needs food to survive, such food comes from the plants, and that the plants need rain to grow. If you plan on witnessing this unique festival, Bali is home to several beautiful beaches, one of the more popular ones being Seminyak. Finding a Seminyak beach resort suitable for your holiday won’t be much of a task either, with the variety of options available, such as the Alila Seminyak Bali Resort.
