Tunisia Sees Increase in Tourist Arrivals – Travel Restrictions Also Eased

With the reopening of its borders and the easing of travel restrictions, Tunisia is seeing an increase in tourist arrivals this year which comes as good news for the North African nation. This includes offering quarantine-free holidays to fully vaccinated travellers which have attracted more visitors. The results have been encouraging; as reported on the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper website on 7th May 2022, the Tourism Ministry reported that as of 20th April, more than a million tourists have visited Tunisia this year. This was a significant 128% increase when compared with the same period last year.

From its rich history and the ancient ruins of Carthage to stunning beaches and natural wonders, there is much that travellers can experience in Tunis; 5-star hotel properties by the coast such as The Residence Tunis also have stringent health and sanitisation protocols in place ensuring guests enjoy safe stays as well, making this an ideal holiday destination.
