Tunisia’s Tourism Industry Offers Vital Economic Boost – Tourist Arrivals Also on the Rise

As reported on the Reuters news website on 16th June 2023, the tourism industry in Tunisia has been getting back on track since the pandemic as seen by an increase in foreign arrivals. This, in turn, has brought much-needed foreign currency into the country and in the process, helped boost the local economy. The government is confident that this influx of travellers to the country will continue and is expecting to welcome 8.5 million tourists by the end of the year; this will be around 90% of the number achieved in 2019 before the global pandemic hit.

This destination has much to offer tourists from historical sites like ancient Carthage to stays beside idyllic beaches at five-star hotels in Tunisia; such properties located by the coast such as The Residence Tunis make an ideal base for relaxation and cultural adventures alike and remain a popular choice for travellers from around the world.
