UAE airports prepared for COP28 guests – Arrival in Novemeber will be smoothe 

UAE airports stand fully prepared to welcome attendees of COP28, as confirmed by the nation’s civil aviation authority on Wednesday. In anticipation of the global climate summit scheduled from November 30th to December 12th, 2023, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has orchestrated a comprehensive strategy. Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, emphasized the formation of a national team comprising all key stakeholders within the aviation sector, aimed at both hosting the conference and championing emission reduction efforts.

Highlighting the significance of this international event, Al Suwaidi conveyed the pivotal role assumed by the authority and the nation’s aviation sector as hosts, affirming the importance of showcasing the UAE’s advancements in aviation. Over the course of a decade, the UAE has spearheaded various global initiatives dedicated to curbing emissions. Al Suwaidi elaborated on the meticulous preparation undertaken to host COP28, underscoring the coordination of strategic partners to ensure a seamless event while promoting the imperative to decrease emissions.

The imminent global climate congregation, set against the backdrop of Expo City Dubai, bears testament to the UAE’s proactive stance in fostering sustainability and environmental responsibility on a global scale.
