UAE Enhances Visa Policies to Boost Tourism – Explore UAE’s Hospitality with Updated Visa Policies
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates has recently introduced updates to its visa exemption policy, broadening access for citizens of 87 countries to enter the UAE without requiring a visa prior to arrival. This initiative aims to streamline travel processes and stimulate tourism across the region.
While nationals from 110 countries still need to acquire a visa before visiting the UAE, citizens of nations part of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) access visa-free travel privileges. They can enter with either a GCC passport or identity card, as confirmed by the UAE Digital Government.
Under the new regulations, eligible travellers can receive a 30-day entry visa upon arrival, with an additional 10-day grace period. Additionally, citizens of selected countries have the option to obtain a 90-day visa upon arrival, offering more flexibility to explore the UAE’s diverse attractions.
Indian citizens benefit particularly from this update, as those holding valid passports, UK or EU residence visas, and US visit visas or green cards for at least six months can avail of the visa on arrival. Initially permitted for a 14-day stay, it can be extended for another 14 days, allowing ample time to discover the UAE’s rich cultural heritage and dynamic urban environments.
With these enhancements, the UAE aims to promote inclusivity and convenience, inviting global travellers to enjoy its renowned hospitality and world-class amenities, including luxurious stays at Abu Dhabi luxury hotels like the elegant Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort.
