UAE Relaxes Entry Protocols for Indians – A Welcome Move Before Expo 2020

On 16th September 2021, the UAE announced that it would be easing restrictions and guidelines for those arriving from India including passengers with work or tourist visas. This announcement coincided with the subsequent launch of the long-awaited Expo 2020 in Dubai. Earlier in September this year, the UAE had lifted restrictions for returning fully vaccinated residents who were previously on a list of nations from where entry to the emirates was suspended.

The easing of restrictions not only applied to tourists from India but other countries too which has given more travellers a chance to visit Expo 2020. Opened on 1st October 2021, this mega event and international festival will run till 31st March 2022 with visitors arriving from around the world.
