The Tourism Development Authority of Sri Lanka has joined hands with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for a new project that’s launched to develop Sri Lanka as a country with a sustainable and resilient tourism industry. This project will first focus on the ever-famous attraction in Sri Lanka, Sigiriya. Through this program, the officials will also try to develop nearby attractions such as Pidurangala and Kaludiya Pokuna as tourist-friendly attractions in the area.
Once the first phase is successful, this project will focus on some other attractions in Sri Lanka that are located in different parts of the country. This is indeed happy news to all luxury hotels in Sri Lanka the likes of Saman Villas that strive to strengthen the local economies while also doing their role of responsibility to promote sustainability.
