Update on Travel Restrictions and Passenger Requirements in Oman – COVID-19 Travel Guidance

In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Sultanate of Oman has employed several precautionary measures. One of these restrictions is suspending the entrance to the Sultanate from ten countries where the new tensions of coronavirus have spread including Lebanon, Brazil, and eight other countries from the African continent. This travel ban also extends to those who have passed or visited these countries in the two weeks prior to their arrival in Oman. However, citizens, health staff (including their families), and diplomats of Oman are exempt from this ban and will be free to enjoy their time at home or even at a Salalah beach resort the likes of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, once they go through the entry procedures adopted by the Sultanate.

All Omani citizens and residents are allowed to travel abroad without prior approval and passengers are required to be present at the airport at least 3-4 hours before departure.
