Vaccinated Travel Lanes with Sri Lanka Launched by Singapore – A Boost to Tourism

In a welcomed move last year, Sri Lanka was amongst the destinations that Singapore launched Vaccinated Travel Lanes with. From December 2021, those who were fully vaccinated could enjoy quarantine-free travel between the two nations. Under the guidelines of the Vaccinated Travel Lanes, individuals returning to Singapore are not subject to a Stay-Home Notice (SHN) after they arrive; instead, they must submit to a PCR test on arrival and show a negative result of a pre-departure test taken within two days of their flight home.

Fully vaccinated travellers from Singapore can now easily plan and enjoy quarantine-free holidays in Sri Lanka which received a boost to its tourism industry through this. Tourists continue to have much to look forward to here including at “Safe & Secure” certified hotels near Colombo Airport; such accommodation options include Heritance Negombo set amidst one of the island’s widest beachfronts offering coastal getaways and cultural discoveries.
