Vesak Festival to Proceed – The vibrant festival to be celebrated

Vesak is one of the most significant religious and cultural festivals in Sri Lanka and celebrated by Buddhists all over the world. It is during Vesak that worshippers come together to celebrate the important life events that took place in the life of The Buddha. Several religious activities occur during this period.

The government of Sri Lanka has decided to limit the festival to two days this year, in the wake of what the country has been through recently. Luxury hotels in Sri Lanka, the likes of Amaya Resorts & Spas will also follow suit, with the festival to be held during the weekend mid -May.
