Victory Day Celebration in Mozambique – A Day Won Through Sheer Bravery

The Lusaka Peace Agreement Day, also known as Victory Day, is a public holiday in Mozambique celebrated on September 7th. The day commemorates the signing of the Lusaka Peace Agreement in 1974, which saw the conclusion of the Mozambican War of Independence. The Portuguese first entered the country in the 15th century, and by the 16th century, they had commanded the seas around the region quite dominantly.
