Vietnam, Japan Join Hands to Tap Tourism Potential – Growing Tourism Opportunities Lead to Jap – Viet Collaboration

Vietnam has been seeing an influx of Japanese tourists visiting the country over the past two years. As part of the ongoing 14th International Travel Expo discussions were held to between the two countries for further collaboration.

While it was stressed that major Vietnamese cities should prepare better to facilitate this surge of tourists, there is an increasing number of holiday makers exploring beyond these locations. A popular tourist destination & UNESCO world heritage site, Hoi An. While the site is preserved in its original state there are hotels in Hoi An such as the Anantara Hoi An Resort which is purposed to accommodate the increasing number of tourists.

Speaking at this event Dinh Ngoc Duc, director of marketing department at Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said that Japan has been amongst the most important markets of the tourism sector.

Also speaking at the event, the Japanese General Consul to HCM city Junichi Kawaue noted that about 300,000 tourists from Vietnam came to Japan during the past with the Viatnamese market being one the fastest growing tourist populace in Japan.
