On a pilot basis, Vietnam relaunched international flights in January 2022 amidst new regulations as it hoped to slowly but steadily boost local tourism. Fully vaccinated travellers from an approved list of countries can now enjoy holidays once more in Vietnam; beach resorts in the Binh Dinh Province such as Avani Quy Nhon Resort offer coastal holidays with safe accommodation and it will be hoped that tourist arrivals will increase.
Amongst the international airlines that can now travel to Vietnam are China Airlines, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Thai VietJet and Turkish Airlines. Additionally, Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Bamboo Airways and VietJet Air are the local carriers offering limited international flights too. In the first phase of the nation’s reopening, flights were resumed to nine destinations including Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul and San Francisco while this number is expected to increase as the year goes on.
