Vietnam Set to Attract More ASEAN Tourists in the Coming Year — A favourable time for the country ahead!

Vietnam is gearing up to welcome a surge of visitors from fellow ASEAN nations this year, following promising developments at the recent Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) Trade Fair 2024 held in Laos. Over 100 international partners inked agreements and commitments to bring tourists to Vietnam during the two-day event, which is the largest of its kind in the ASEAN region.

Taking place from January 24-26, TRAVEX 2024 saw active participation from localities and businesses across ASEAN member countries. Vietnam showcased its offerings through a 54 sq.m. pavilion, spotlighting the tourism offerings of five provinces and three travel companies. This can potentially introduce visitors to numerous fascinating places to visit and things to do in Mui Ne and other destinations across the country, along with lavish accommodations offered by hotels like Anantara Mui Ne Resort.

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism data revealed that out of the 12.6 million international visitors to Vietnam in 2023, approximately 2.1 million hailed from ASEAN countries. Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasised the significance of intra-ASEAN tourism, citing cultural affinities, scenic landscapes, and warm hospitality as key draws for visitors.
