Indian citizens have been allowed the special privilege of traveling to Malaysia free of securing tourist visa according to the Malaysian Deputy PM Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Seen as a move to increase tourist arrivals among Indians the initiative is a welcome change for Indian nationals not only residing in India but also those possessing an Indian passport and living overseas.
Holidaymakers hoping to vacation in a hotel in Sepang such as the AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort or innumerable other hospitality hotspots around Malaysia can now enjoy visa-free entry into the country. The program specifically targets the countless Indian professionals based in Qatar who make frequent trips to Malaysia. An impressive 5000 visitors touched down in Malaysia last year. The new regulations will not compromise Malaysia’s security however as an Airline Passenger Security Screening must be undergone by all travelers before entering the nation.
