Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi set for 2018 opening on Yas Island – a $1billion project

According to Abu Dhabi officials, Warner Bros. has announced a Warner Bros. theme park to be opened in 2018. The project is a partnership between Miral and the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. According to city officials, the $1 billion project will create around 1000 jobs. The all new theme park will be a hot new attraction to the guests of Sir Bani Yas Island Hotels. Last year, Yas Island attracted over 25 million visitors who expect luxury amenities such as the Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort and remarkable attractions. This year, about 30 million visitors are expected.

According to Mohammad Abdullah Al Za’abi, the chief executive officer of Miral, about 30% of the project has been completed while construction has commenced. He also stated that rides have been ordered and the agreements were all signed.
